PC Support Technician     

This high school only program prepares students to repair, service, and troubleshoot personal computers and computer-related equipment and to install and configure operating systems and application software. Students in this program gain the technical skills required for CompTIA A+ industry certification.

For adult (all day) students, this program meets from 7:55am - 3:00pm


Automotive Service Technician (NATEF Compliant)     

Students in this program will cover the skills necessary to become an entry-level technician. Students will concentrate on courses in introduction, brakes, steering & suspension, electrical electronics and engine performance. They will learn how to diagnose and complete brake service, perform vehicle steering and suspension alignment, as well as electrical theory, electrical/electronic diagnostics. Students will cover engine performance diagnostics and techniques for repair using a variety of diagnostic equipment. This program includes course work on how to evacuate and recharge air-conditioning systems using the proper refrigerant and basic diagnostics of the heat and A/C system. Classes begin the middle of August and end the last of May the following year. This program is offered from 7:55 am to 11:00 am and 12:00 pm to 3:05 pm Monday through Friday. High school students choose either a morning session or an afternoon session to attend. Adult students are encouraged to attend both sessions. Adult students are admitted according to space available in the career major. Occasionally there are openings for adults and admission is made at the beginning of a new semester.


Desktop Publisher/Graphic Designer     

This program prepares students for careers in electronic publishing. Students acquire fundamental skills in image creation and management procedures and techniques as they create, revise, optimize and export graphics for video, print and web publishing. Students learn digital photography and understand copyright basics. Students gain skills required for Adobe Certified Associate.


Practical Nurse     

The Practical Nurse Career Major offers full-time classes and clinical experience in preparation for a skilled career. Graduates of the program are eligible to obtain Practical Nurse licensure after successfully completing the National Council of Licensure Exam for Practical Nurses. Practical nurses work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician in a variety of health related areas.

Health Science Therapeutic Careers     

In this high School only program, students will master skills that employers need in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, hospice centers, and home health agencies. Upon completion of this career major, students will be eligible to become certified as a nurse aide, home health aide, and medication administration technician.


Health Care Technician     

In this program, you will learn the basics of direct patient care and how to assist patients in their daily living as well as the skills you will need to care for patients in hospitals, clinics, doctors’ offices, assisted living facilities, home health and long-term care centers. Upon completion of the program, the student will master the skills needed to become a certified nursing assistant, a certified home health aide, a medication administration technician and a registered phlebotomist.


Heavy Equipment Operator     

This program will introduce students to the skills for safe practices, tool usage, and equipment operation to become a heavy equipment operator. Possible Occupations: Back Hoe Operator, Engineering Equipment Operator, Equipment Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator, Loader Operator, Machine Operator, Motor Grader Operator, Operating Engineer, Operator, Track Hoe Operator.


Environmental Biotechnology     

In this high school only program, students will learn foundational scientific knowledge, gain laboratory skills, and participate in authentic research. This college preparatory program develops competencies useful for medical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and other science based areas of study.


Structural Welder - NCCER Aligned     

This program prepares students to do quality welding for a variety of construction and manufacturing jobs using multiples structural welding techniques. Instruction will cover welding theory and safety, fabrication, layout, print reading, symbols, math, welding codes, metal characteristics/properties and oxyfuel cutting. Students wil learn to perform high qulaity welds in accordance with welding procedure specifications used in a variety of welding occupations.


Cosmetologist - Public     

This program prepares high school students to become licensed cosmetologists who provide nail, skin, scalp, hair care, and composition to customers to help them enhance their personal appearance. Students receive training in hairstyling, cutting, coloring, and chemical restructuring. To obtain stae licensing, students must complete 1500 hours of instruction with 500 hours waved for high school students if high school courses ar successfully completed and pass the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology written and practical exams.


Desktop Support Technician     

This Program prepares students to provide technical assistance to computer users in various work environments. Students learn to repair, service, and troubleshoot personal computers and computer related equipment and to install and configure operating systems and application software.


Multimedia Specialist - Video     

This program prepares students to create and edit graphics for video, print and web publishing. Students learn desktop publishing and graphic design techniques along with digital photography skills. Students design and edit motion graphics and visual effects utilizing state of the art equipment in a full broadcast production studio. This selection is for students who have interests in graphic design, desktop publishing, photography, or production videography. Students will acquire advanced skills in those areas, as well as the opportunity to obtain industry certification as an Adobe Certified Associate, develop an online portfolio and resume.


Multimedia Specialist - CADD     

This program prepares students to create and edit graphics for print and web publishing. Students will learn to create 2D and 3D drawings and may print their designs on a 3D printer. CADD is designed for students who have an interest in drafting and design, architecture, and engineering. AutoCAD is used for 2D and SolidWorks is the sofware used for 3D.

Residential HVAC Technician     

This program is an introduction to air-conditioning and refrigeration, exploring career opportunities in the HVAC/R industry, personal safety and work practices, and personal protective equipment. Students will be instructed in the proper handling of pressurized fluids, handling hazardous substances, hand and power tools, and equipment used to test and service air conditioning.
